WHO YOU'LL SEE
The Egg Roll Queen
Angela Fuller, who goes by the name Egg Roll Queen, has been making specialty vegetarian egg rolls for three decades now, experimenting with a variety of fillings. After purchasing a spoiled egg roll one day 25 years ago, she decided she could do better. But since eggrolls weren't common in Harlem at the time, she went to the library to do research, then started shopping for ingredients in Chinatown.
The Queen's flavors range from Barbeque Tofu to Caribbean to Collard Soul, and have been sold in venues ranging from Fairway, to Gourmet Garage, to Columbia University, to Watkins Health Food Store. Fuller is a member of the Hot Bread Kitchen Incubator program at La Marqueta in East Harlem.
The Little Hot Dog Wagon
Little Hot Dog Wagon's Homemade Organic Kraut Salad from the Little Hot Dog Wagon at parks and community events throughout the northeast region. I promised Dad one day I will brand and market my culinary genius and share my love and passion for great food with the entire world! Today the Dream comes true, as I now have the opportunity and honor to share this rich goodness with your family!
From day one, Little Hot Dog Wagon's Homemade Organic Kraut Salad sells out at every venue I cater and demo. My local 'farm to table' freshness, careful preparation and selection of seasonings, and unique blend of tangy, savory notes with a hint of yummy sweetness delivers unforgettable flavor that will make your taste buds sing and which everyone loves! Hot Dog Wagon's Homemade Organic Kraut Salad is an original recipe created along side my dad, Gary Demry, a retired New York City Fire Officer. Dad won numerous cook-off competitions with recipes of his own; my hero.
I cheered by his side. Leaving the public sector to pursue the Entrepreneurial Spirit of America, with my uncle's food cart, long working days and nights, a fondness to serve smiles to people, and positive expectations, my Journey began as I peddled Little Hot Dog Wagon's Homemade Organic Kraut Salad from the Little Hot Dog Wagon at parks and community events throughout the northeast region. I promised Dad one day I will brand and market my culinary genius and share my love and passion for great food with the entire world! Today the Dream comes true, as I now have the opportunity and honor to share this rich goodness with your family!
Chef El-Amin
Ask anyone in Harlem about Chef El-Amin's Pan Fried Whiting, Homemade Potato Salad, or Lemonade and they will have fond memories to share! Chef El-Amin's journey began when an industrial freezer that stored hundreds of pounds of fish lost power. Rather than let the inventory go to waste, the family hosted a free “good ole' fashioned fish fry.” The fish was dipped in our secret coating mix and fried in a black cast iron skillet. The rave reviews motivated our family to launch the now legendary weekly Friday Night Fish Fry and open the very first Soul Food restaurant in New Rochelle NY. During the summer months, Chef El-Amin was the premier vendor at local fairs with lines wrapped around the corners, spanning from Grants Tomb to Harlem Week. Chef El-Amin later grew to include social and corporate catering + events.
Fast forward to present day, we are excited to bring our beloved staples to the mass market with our fresh prepared, pre-packaged Soulful Heat & Eat sides and entrees, and distributing to your local college, university, corporate cafeteria and retail store! Chef El-Amin has innovated a line of convenient, grab go and soul food meals, bulk sides and a new hand held product launching soon! Our products are Vegan, Halal, lower in salt content made with natural sugars. Our mission is to create meals that are a healthier alternative to traditional Soul Food without compromising taste, for busy families and professionals.
Since 1986, we have served double portions of LOVE and excellent service to the metropolitan New York, Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey & Connecticut. Now we are going global!
