Marcus Samuelsson, award-winning chef and restaurateur, and Herb Karlitz, veteran event marketer and international food festival producer – the duo who launched Harlem EatUp! – bring you the City’s premiere program for local and culturally diverse cuisines. Co-produced by award-winning producers Rochelle Brown and Sonia Armstead of Powerhouse Productions, EatUp! NYC Presented by Foster Grant is a one-hour program featuring Black and women-owned local restaurants in Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens and Newark, NJ. EatUp! NYC is co-hosted by creator Marcus Samuelsson and TV/radio personality, host and author, the incomparable Bevy Smith and featured the following businesses: Harlem’s BLVD Bistro, Harlem Biscuit Company, and Flamekeepers Hat Club, Brooklyn’s Kokomo, and B. Stuyvesant Champagne, Queens’ The Freakin Rican, Newark’s Tinjune Downtown, and NYC’s Hav & Mar and Ramen by Ra. The program also featured a community giveback segment hosted by local ABC7 talent. EatUp! NYC is in its third season and is a James Beard and two-time Emmy-nominated show. The show aired on ABC7 on February 3rd and can now be viewed here.
