Tastings Social Presents Mountain Bird
Chef Kenichi Tajima has been executive chef of Tastings NYC for the past 10 years. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kenichi attended the prestigious Seikei private school but discovered the joys and cooking using seasonal ingredients as nurtured by his mother. He mastered traditional French culinary arts at culinary school in France and Japan.
In France Kenichi cooked at Michelin Star dining and bistro before coming to New York. He worked alongside Executive Chef Philippe Bertineau, Pastry Chef François Payard, and then as Executive Catering Chef for Tastings by Payard before opening Mountain Bird.
