Rashad Malik Davis is an award-winning author and illustrator from Lawrenceville, NJ with a particular focus on themes of: fantasy, spirituality, diversity and empathy for children and adults alike.

He graduated from Tufts University in 2013 with a degree in Anthropology & Chinese Language & Culture, then went on to pursue his dreams with a degree in Animation from the Savannah College of Art & Design.

He has illustrated for several published projects including: Shaping the Future of African American Film by former Tufts Professor Monica Ndounou, and the #1 Best Selling Children's book entitled Sunne's Gift by Ama Karikari Yawson. He recently published his own children's picture book series entitled, Carefree, Like Me! that won the 2017 Best Indie Book Award in the Children's category. The book series has been featured on: News12 New Jersey's "NJ Spotlight" with Della Crews, Princeton TV with Sharon "Lady Tea" Levy, and several newspapers and radio stations. Carefree, Like Me! is even available at major retailers including: Barnes & Noble, Wal-Mart, and Amazon.com as well.
