Born and raised in Harlem, New York, Pastry Chef Jada Baez grew up in the kitchen, helping her mother prepare dishes and developing an appreciation for lovingly made food. At 19 years old, she hosted her first Student Guest Chef event in college, where she planned the menu, trained the staff, and fed over 400 students. It was at that moment that Jada realized that she wanted to be a chef & business owner much more than she wanted to be a lawyer.
After getting kicked out of college & feeling hopeless, Jada picked herself up and put herself through culinary school, working for & learning from the same celebrity chefs she admired as a child. She graduated from the Pastry & Baking Arts program at the Institute of Culinary Education in May of 2018. At 21 years old, Jada officially launched her first baking and catering business, The Princess of Pastries, in September of 2018.
